Emerging Leadership Development Program

For recent college graduates who are ready to accelerate their career, our Emerging Leadership Development Program (ELDP) provides a structured yet dynamic journey. This rotational program will immerse you in various full-time positions within your field, giving you a holistic understanding of growth opportunities available at Wabash.

Our Emerging Leadership Development Program bridges the gap between academia and your first job by providing a supportive environment for personal and professional growth. As you learn from seasoned professionals, contribute fresh ideas and new perspectives, and tackle challenging projects, you will find yourself on a trajectory toward leadership positions within Wabash.

ELDP Benefits

  • Rotational assignments expose you to diverse experiences, encourage flexibility, and develop your ability to work with different teams and stakeholders.

  • Enhance essential leadership skills through various training sessions on topics such as communication, decision-making, problem-solving, teamwork, adaptability and emotional intelligence.

  • Expand your professional connections and learn from others’ experiences at networking events, social gatherings and professional conferences exclusive to ELDP participants.

  • Engage in discussions with industry experts and senior leaders who provide valuable insights into leadership strategies, trends and best practices, inspiring you to develop your own leadership style.

  • Work closely with a mentor to help you navigate the early stages of your career and learn effective leadership practices.

  • Gain exposure to other parts of the business in one-week job shadowing opportunities outside your field.

  • Graduate from the ELDP with confidence, enabled to drive positive changes within the company and better positioned to accept more challenging roles or leadership positions.

Getting Started

  • To participate in the program, individuals have to be committed to their own development, open to feedback and willing to rotate positions on a regular cadence determined by the function.

  • ELDP opportunities are available in information technology, finance, engineering, human resources and manufacturing operations.

  • Rotation timing can vary (3 months to 18 months), but each ELDP participant will have at least three rotations within a period of approximately three years.

  • Between 2nd and 3rd year rotations, ELDP participants will be assigned group projects or tasked with leading teams to work on specific business challenges or community-oriented initiatives.
